En esta clase vamos a ver cómo se aumenta y disminuye en la técnica de crochet. Aumentar puntos es tener en una vuelta más puntos que en la anterior y disminuir es tener menos.

In this class we’ll see how to increase and decrease in crochet.  Increase is to have more stitches in a row than in the previous one and decrease is to have less.

AUMENTAR PUNTOS / INCREASE

AUMENTOS INTERNOS / INSIDE INCREASES 

Vamos a realizar un ejemplo con puntos altos. Se teje igual en cualquier otro punto. En el punto donde queremos aumentar se hacen 2 puntos juntos en el mismo punto.

Let’s make an example with double crochet. The technique is the same for any type of stitches. In the stitch where we want to increase, make 2 stitches together in the same stitch.

CONCHAS O ABANICOS / SHELLS 

Cuando en un mismo punto se hacen tres o más puntos se denomina tejer una concha o abanico de puntos. En la siguiente vuelta se compensará este aumento con un salto o disminución de puntos.

When in a single stitch three or more stitches are made this is called a shell.  In the next round, this increase will be offset skipping or decrease the stitches.

AUMENTOS EXTERNOS / OUTSIDE INCREASES

Para aumentar puntos en los extremos de nuestro proyecto se tejerán al final de la vuelta tantas cadenetas como puntos queramos aumentar más las cadenetas de subida.

To increase stitches at the ends of our work make as many chains as you want to increase.

DISMINUIR PUNTOS / DECREASE STITCHES

DISMINUCIÓN DE PUNTOS EN AMIGURUMI / AMIGURUMI DECREASES

Las figuras de la técnica japonesa denominada amigurumi se tejen con puntos bajos, la disminución en este caso se aconseja que sea cogiendo la lazada delantera de los puntos a menguar. De esta forma quedará el tejido menos abultado para introducir posteriormente el relleno.

The ‘figures’ of the Japanese technique called amigurumi are made with single crochet, the decrease in this technique are made in the back loop.  In this way it will be less bulky to stuff when filling.

DISMINUCIÓN O MENGUADO INTERNO / INSIDE DECREASE

En el punto donde queremos disminuir un punto, se tejen 2 o más puntos y se cierran juntos en la parte superior.

At the stitch where you want to decrease a stitch, make 2 or more stitches and close them together at the top.

DISMINUCIÓN O MENGUADO EXTERNO / OUTSIDE DECREASES

Si queremos disminuir al final de la vuelta y los menguados son más de 2 puntos, simplemente dejaremos los puntos sin tejer.

Si los menguados son al comienzo de la vuelta haremos tantos puntos corredizos como puntos queramos menguar y continuaremos con la cadeneta de subida.

If you want to decrease at the end of the row and the remaining stitches are more than 2, simply do not make the stitches.

If the decreases are at the beginning of the row, do as many slip stitches as you need to decrease.

RACIMOS / CLUSTERS

Un racimo es un grupo de puntos tejidos cada uno en un punto y unidos en su parte superior.

A cluster is a group of stitches where each one is made in a stitch and joined at the top.

A continuación os mostramos un ejemplo de punto con racimos de 3 puntos altos juntos.

Here we will show you an example of cluster with 3 double crochet together.
